My Advice!Meditation is very useful. What actually happens I am going to avoid saying. There is a special reason for this. It would seem the practical experience of meditation can already be an ordinary part of people's lives, perhaps without knowing it. There is likely to be many times when taking a break at work, waiting for a train or sitting in the park that there have been moments of an indescribable nature. Then there are all those poignant moments which arise in reading, in conversation, and with companions.
Essentially we can think of meditation as all of this, without the effort. This is not to say physical exercise might not reach moments of spiritual intimacy and soulful perfection. However, the intention of any of the modes of contemplation is to actually abide in these states. |
